A Food and Beverage (F&B;) Service Associate (often called a waiter, steward, or guest service associate) greets guests, takes orders, serves meals and drinks, and handles billing in restaurants, hotels, or resorts. [1, 2, 3]Core Duties

- Setup & Prep: Inspect dining areas, set tables with linen/cutlery (mise-en-place), and ensure cleanliness.

- Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly, present menus, explain selections, and note dietary needs or allergies.

- Order Management: Take food/beverage orders, enter them into POS/MICROS systems, and pass KOT/BOT (Kitchen/Bar Order Tickets) to staff.

- Service: Serve food/beverages following hygiene and service standards, check course satisfaction, clear used dishes, and present accurate bills. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
