ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

- MBBS and MD in Psychiatry from a recognised university/institution.
- At least three years of clinical, teaching and research experience in the relevant specialty at a recognised institution after obtaining the qualifying degree.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing Kannada and Hindi.
- Experience in clinical psychiatry research and AI development.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

- Qualifications obtained from institutes of repute.
- Academic honours, such as a university gold medal, grants, fellowships or awards.
- Additional qualifications and competencies beyond MBBS and MD.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary research teams.
- Indexed scientific publications.
- Experience conducting audio-recorded sensitive psychiatric interviews and qualitative research.
- Experience conducting extramurally funded research projects.
- Experience in AI applications in psychiatry, with basic proficiency in Python.

NATURE OF WORK

- Teaching and training senior residents in conducting clinical interviews and harmonising data collection across study sites.




- Maintaining quality control of interviews, transcriptions, translations, clinical reasoning traces and annotations.
- Synchronising AI pipelines with clinical data collection.
- Undertaking clinical, research and academic responsibilities, including teaching and training psychiatry residents, managing inpatient and outpatient services, performing emergency duties as allotted, and preparing manuscripts based on research conducted as part of the project.
- Budget planning and oversight, leadership of a multidisciplinary team, coordination with collaborating institutes, and supervision of project staff.

EMOLUMENTS

₹1,80,000 per month (consolidated)

Until 31 August 2028

DURATION OF POST

Two years. The initial appointment will be for three months and may be extended periodically based on performance.
