AREA SALES MANAGER

Job Role The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for developing the assigned Territory, Managing Sales Officers (SOs) and Area Distributors (ADs), Driving secondary sales, developing productive A-Class Retail Outlets, and Ensuring Effective Market Execution for Candico Wellness products

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Target Achievement

- Drive achievement of monthly secondary sales targets.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Identify sales gaps and take corrective action.

Sales Team Management

- Recruit, develop and supervise Sales Officers.
- Ensure effective deployment, market coverage and productivity of the sales team.
- Coach SOs on outlet selection, product presentation and retailer conversion.

Distributor Management

- Appoint and develop Area Distributors as per the approved business plan.
- Monitor distributor sales, retail servicing and market performance.
- Ensure regular re-servicing of outlets and achievement of distributor targets.

Territory & Retail Development

- Identify and develop productive A-Class retail outlets.
- Prepare and monitor market coverage plans.




- Build systematic coverage across assigned HQ and up-country markets.

Field Execution

- Conduct regular joint market visits with Sales Officers.
- Monitor product availability, visibility, merchandising, POP material and sampling.

Improve outlet selection, selling skills and field productivity.

Candidate Profile

- Strong FMCG sales experience.
- Experience in distributor appointment and management.
- Experience in field sales team management.
- Positive knowledge of A/A+ retail outlets, territory mapping, secondary sales and outlet productivity.
- Ability to build a sales team and deliver planned business targets.

Field Requirement This is a field-intensive role. During the initial six months, the Area Manager is expected to devote maximum time to market working to establish distribution, develop A-Class outlets, guide Sales Officers to stabilize sales.
