We are looking for an Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive sales and distribution across Gujarat for a growing Baby Care / Personal Care / Hygiene business. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in General Trade (GT) and distribution-led sales, with a proven track record of managing distributors, expanding market presence and delivering revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive primary and secondary sales across the assigned territory.
- Manage and expand the distributor and dealer network across Gujarat.
- Ensure effective market coverage, beat planning and product availability.
- Drive distribution and visibility across the assigned markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers and key trade partners.
- Track sales performance, market trends and competitor activities.
- Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the company's distribution footprint.
- Lead and monitor the performance of the sales team and field force.
- Ensure timely collection and effective management of distributor outstanding.
- Share regular sales MIS, market feedback and business updates with management.
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of sales experience in FMCG.
- Solid background in Baby Care, Personal Care, Hygiene, Beauty Care or allied FMCG categories.
- Strong hands-on experience in General Trade and distribution management.
- Experience handling a Gujarat territory or strong familiarity with the Gujarat market will be preferred.
- Proven experience in managing distributors, retailers and field sales teams.
- Strong understanding of territory management, secondary sales and market expansion.
- Good analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
- Should be comfortable with a target-driven and fast-paced environment.
