Assistant Professor – Anaesthesiology & Critical Care / Casualty

Qualification

- MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology
- Valid medical registration as applicable
- Teaching and clinical experience in a medical college/hospital preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care and anaesthesia services as per hospital protocols.
- Manage patients in the Casualty/Emergency and Critical Care areas as required.
- Conduct pre-operative assessment and post-operative patient management.
- Provide anaesthesia for elective and emergency surgical procedures.
- Manage critically ill patients and participate in resuscitation and emergency care.
- Supervise and guide Junior Residents, Senior Residents and other clinical staff.
- Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate academic activities.
- Conduct lectures, demonstrations, case discussions and clinical teaching.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic activities,



audits and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Follow hospital, medical college and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Support emergency duties, on-call responsibilities and departmental requirements.

Required Skills
- Good clinical and decision-making skills in Anaesthesiology.
- Ability to manage emergency and critical-care situations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary medical teams.
- Robust interest in teaching, training and academic activities.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in a medical college teaching environment preferred.
- Experience in Critical Care, Emergency/Casualty and Anesthesia will be an advantage.
