Ambulance Driver Roles and Responsibilities

- Safely and efficiently drive an ambulance to transport patients to and from healthcare facilities, emergency scenes, and other destinations as required.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized ambulance, ensuring that all medical equipment and supplies are properly secured and readily accessible.
- Follow established protocols and respond promptly to emergency calls, ensuring the safe and timely arrival at the scene or destination.
- Provide basic first aid and life support assistance to patients during transportation, as required and within the scope of training.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics, to ensure effective communication and coordination during patient transportation.
- Adhere to traffic laws, regulations,



and safe driving practices while operating the ambulance, including defensive driving techniques in emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate records of patient transport activities, including pick-up and drop-off times, destination, and any relevant patient information.
- Perform routine checks on the ambulance, including monitoring fuel and fluid levels, inspecting tires, and ensuring that all emergency equipment is in working order.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing reassurance and support during transportation.
- Attend regular training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as defensive driving, first aid, and emergency response techniques
