Accountant – Logistics Industry | Job Responsibilities Maintain day-to-day accounting records, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries. Prepare and maintain invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and payment records. Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, vendor accounts, and ledger balances.

Handle accounting for transportation, freight, warehousing, fuel, toll, and other logistics-related expenses. Verify transport bills, freight bills, vendor invoices, and supporting documents before processing payments. Track accounts receivable and accounts payable and follow up on outstanding payments.

Maintain records of customer billing and transporter/vendor settlements. Monitor fuel expenses, vehicle expenses, toll charges, loading/unloading charges, and other operational costs. Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance and maintain required documentation.





Prepare monthly MIS reports, expense reports, receivable/payable statements, and profitability reports. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. Coordinate with operations, transport, procurement, sales, and management teams for accounting-related matters.

Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, payment mismatches, and ledger differences. Maintain proper documentation and records for internal and statutory audits. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.

Assist management in cost control, expense monitoring, and financial analysis. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all financial and accounting information.
