Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Delhi, India. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, maintain general ledgers, and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting in monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and cost tracking, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
The Accountant will contribute to improving financial processes and maintaining organized documentation for all logistics and freight-related transactions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, or similar), MS Excel, and basic data analysis tools.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, GST, and regulatory compliance relevant to Indian accounting and logistics operations.
- Candidates should possess solid organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, management, and external stakeholders.
- Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/ICWA semi-qualified) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a related industry is beneficial, along with familiarity with documentation for imports, exports, and customs.
