Job Summary The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for counselling students and parents, understanding their academic and career goals, recommending suitable courses and career pathways, and converting enquiries into counselling sessions, footfalls, and admissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-to-one counselling with students and parents.
- Understand students' academic background, interests, career goals, and preferences.
- Provide appropriate guidance regarding courses, colleges, eligibility, career opportunities, and admission processes.
- Handle walk-in and referred enquiries and convert them into admissions.
- Follow up with prospective students and parents regularly.
- Maintain accurate records of counselling, follow-ups, footfalls, and admissions.
- Coordinate with the Tele-Counselling and Admissions teams for lead conversion.
- Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly counselling and admission targets.
- Maintain professional relationships with students and parents throughout the admission process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling and convincing abilities.
- Valuable knowledge of academic courses and career pathways.
- Target-oriented and result-driven approach.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with students and parents.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets and CRM systems.
- Bengali/Hindi/English communication skills will be preferred.
