Job SummaryDevOps Engineer

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications and data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL, a solid understanding of database architecture and data modeling, and hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and CI/CD-driven solutions. You will work closely with development, operations, and business teams to deliver reliable, high-performance applications and data pipelines.

Required Skills

- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and advanced SQL development.
- Deep understanding of database architecture, data modeling, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Valuable understanding of Python for automation, scripting, and application development.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting Apache Airflow workflows and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Git version control and release management practices.
- Understanding of application security, monitoring, and operational best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark DataFrames, Polars, Pandas, or similar data processing frameworks.
- Experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Exposure to Databricks and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Preferred Technology Stack

Key Responsibilities

- Write efficient and optimized SQL and PostgreSQL code, procedures, and functions.




- Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of applications.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of application components.
- Collaborate with DBAs, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Upgrade, migrate, and maintain Postgre database environments.
- Airflow DAG creation.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Postgres SQL and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, or other version control tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with PBI tools and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization, implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module and participate in technical discussions/reviews as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
