Sen/Lead Ruby Engineer

Position Requirements

ABOUT THE ROLE In this role, you will develop and maintain scalable backend services primarily using Ruby on Rails to support the SDWAN platform. You will work closely with frontend teams and cross-functional partners to deliver customer-facing features.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Ruby on Rails
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs consumed by frontend and external services
- Collaborate with frontend engineers (React/TypeScript), product owners, and DevOps teams
- Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and support
- Experience with React, JS or Go programming is a plus, especially for service integration and microservices architecture




- Troubleshooting defects, config diffs on networking devices for validating BE features.

REQUIREMENTS

- Robust experience (from 4-5 years) with Ruby and Ruby on Rails backend development
- Strong experience with networking domain
- Proficiency in REST API design and integration
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience working in agile teams using tools like GitHub, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong product sense with the ability to translate requirements into reliable backend features

Experience delivering prod features and supporting production readiness in teams with multi locations.
