Job description for Electronics Shop manager,

Role overview,

An Electronics Production Manager, specialized in Class3 electronics assemblies in defence sector oversees the end-to-end manufacturing and testing process of mission critical electronic products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on time delivery.

This role demands precision, compliance with class 3 standards, IPC specialization knowledge base and cross functional coordination across engineering, quality, design departments to deliver high-reliability products under strict timelines.

Key responsibilities,

- Oversee production of defence-grade electronic systems with end to end responsibility and ensure compliance of defence manufacturing standards.
- Coordinate with cross functional departments like design, quality, product management, supply chain to meet stringent performance and reliability benchmarks.
- Manage production schedules, resource planning, and cost control in alignment with defence contracts.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.
- Mentor and supervise production team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.




- Responsible for process optimization to improve yield, reduce waste and enhance throughput.
- Responsible to evaluate and adopts recent tools, automation, digitalization to modernize production lines.
- Responsible for internal and external audit.
- Able to do capital expenditure(CapEx) management, annual budget planning, resource allocation, cost estimation & control etc.

Required skills and competencies,

- Technical skills-
- IPC 610,620 standards
- Knowledge of assembly, testing of electronics unit & PCB assembly.
- Knowledge of analog circuit , digital circuit ,wire harness, schematic, drownings etc.
- Knowledge of Environmental stress screening(ESS) and ESS specifications.
- MIL standards
- Safety standards
- Troubleshooting, debugging units and cards
- Quality control(IPC,ISO)
- ERP system, PLM system, SAP, Power Bi,
- Knowledge of ESD Standards
