Deputy Manager - International Tax & M&A; Tax - Professional Services - Mumbai/Pune - 4+ Years

We are looking for a CA-qualified professional with 4+ years of experience in Direct Tax/International Tax, preferably from a professional services or tax advisory environment. The role requires strong exposure to cross-border tax advisory, DTAA/tax treaties, WHT, PE, FEMA, tax planning and structuring. Experience in M&A; Tax, Tax Due Diligence and transaction advisory will be highly relevant.

Responsibilities * Providing inbound and outbound tax advisory on cross-border transactions, withholding tax and PE assessments.

- Leading tax planning and risk mitigation assignments in line with client business objectives.
- Managing M&A; Tax, Tax Due Diligence and transaction advisory engagements.
- Reviewing tax processes and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Developing long-term client relationships through proactive communication and strategic tax insights.
- Leading client meetings, presentations and tax strategy discussions.
- Mentoring and managing team members while reviewing deliverables and building technical capabilities.
- Collaborating with legal, transfer pricing, regulatory and audit teams to deliver integrated tax solutions.
- Managing project timelines, resources, budgets and stakeholder communication.
- Supporting tax litigation, audits, inquiries and multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements.
- Contributing to business development through networking, referrals, solutioning and client engagement.

Requirements * Holding a qualified CA certification with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
- Having strong experience in Direct Tax and International Tax advisory.




- Demonstrating hands-on exposure to cross-border transactions, tax structuring, WHT and PE assessments.
- Possessing strong knowledge of DTAA/Tax Treaty provisions and FEMA-related matters.
- Having experience in M&A; Tax, Tax Due Diligence and transaction advisory.
- Demonstrating experience in tax planning, risk management, litigation and compliance.
- Possessing strong client management, communication and presentation skills.
- Having experience in team handling, project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bringing exposure to Manufacturing, IT, Technology or other multinational client environments will be preferred.
