Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Junior Web Developer at Vicious Marketing from our office in Jaipur

This is a practical website implementation and maintenance role, not a full-stack software-engineering role and not a content-writing or SEO-strategy position.

You will work from approved content, briefs, templates, task instructions, and checklists to build, update, format, and quality-check website pages across multiple client sites.

Your work will include WordPress Gutenberg, WordPress HTML/code-editor environments, pure HTML websites, and AI/no-code website builders. You will help implement SEO and conversion requirements, update existing pages, troubleshoot basic front-end issues, and make sure pages are correctly formatted, responsive, functional, and ready to publish.

You will collaborate with SEO, content, design, analytics, and operations team members. You will not be expected to define SEO strategy, write original articles, build complex web applications, or independently make high-risk technical changes.

Responsibilities

- Build, update, format, and publish web pages, landing pages, blog posts, service pages, location pages, and other marketing assets.
- Work in WordPress Gutenberg to create, edit, duplicate, format, schedule, and publish pages and posts.
- Update website content using WordPress HTML/code view when required.
- Make safe content and layout updates on pure HTML websites.
- Use AI/no-code website builders to create, edit, format, and publish pages based on approved templates and requirements.
- Implement approved front-end changes, including headings,



text, lists, tables, images, videos, embeds, FAQs, CTA blocks, buttons, forms, and reusable page sections.
- Add and update page metadata, title tags, meta descriptions, URL slugs, heading structure, categories, tags, featured images, authors, and other required CMS fields.
- Implement internal links using supplied anchor text and destination URLs.
- Upload, format, organize, and optimize images and other visual assets, including file naming and alt text.
- Implement approved on-page SEO requirements through Rank Math, Yoast, or similar tools.
- Perform website QA before work is marked complete, including desktop and mobile checks.
- Test links, buttons, forms, embeds, images, layouts, visible formatting, metadata, and page status.
- Troubleshoot basic front-end issues involving HTML, CSS, layouts, page-builder components, responsiveness, and content display.
- Maintain accurate task statuses, implementation notes, live URLs, screenshots, and publishing records.
- Report missing information, inconsistencies, blockers, bugs, or technical risks clearly and early.
- Help improve repeatable workflows by identifying opportunities for templates, reusable components, SOPs, AI workflows, or automation.

Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building, updating, and maintaining websites using WordPress, including Gutenberg.
- Practical knowledge of HTML and CSS, with the ability to safely edit an existing page without breaking layout, links, responsiveness, or page structure.
- Comfortable working in WordPress HTML/code view when required.
- Experience creating, updating, and publishing pages through at least one no-code or AI website builder.
- Familiarity with responsive web design and the ability to identify obvious desktop and mobile layout issues.
- Familiarity with front-end website QA, including checking page formatting, images, links, buttons, forms, embeds, and mobile display.




- Basic understanding of on-page SEO implementation, including title tags, meta descriptions, URL slugs, heading structure, internal linking, image alt text, and indexing awareness.
- Familiarity with Rank Math, Yoast, or another WordPress SEO plugin.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to following requirements, templates, and checklists.
- Solid written English.
- Comfortable using collaboration and workflow tools such as Google Drive, Google Sheets, Asana, ClickUp, or similar platforms.
- Able to work independently in a remote environment, manage a task queue, and raise blockers rather than guessing.

Nice to Have
- Experience with WordPress page builders such as Elementor, Bricks, Divi, or similar.
- Experience with Webflow, Wix, Framer, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, or other AI/no-code website-building tools.
- Experience working with static HTML websites and deployment workflows such as GitHub, Cloudflare Pages, FTP, or SFTP.
- Basic familiarity with JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, Google Tag Manager, or marketing tracking tools.
- Experience with Screaming Frog, website crawls, broken-link checks, or basic technical SEO QA.
- Experience with image compression, WebP conversion, media-library organization, and website-performance best practices.
- Familiarity with schema markup tools, FAQ sections, internal-link maps, and reusable WordPress blocks/components.
- Familiarity with n8n, Zapier, Make, or other workflow-automation tools.
- Experience supporting agency clients, multi-site portfolios, SaaS, E-commerce, Fintech, iGaming, or regulated industries.

Important Scope Note This role is focused on website implementation, maintenance, publishing, and QA.

You will work from approved content and defined requirements. You will not be responsible for original content writing, keyword research, SEO strategy, link-building strategy, full-stack application development, custom plugin development, or major website architecture decisions.
