Role Description The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the daily operation and monitoring of water and wastewater treatment processes at the site. This full time, on-site role includes operating and adjusting plant equipment, overseeing pump stations, and maintaining process control parameters to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant performance. The operator will perform routine sampling and testing, record operational data, and respond to alarms and system issues in a timely manner.

The role also involves executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams, and following all safety and environmental guidelines.

The Water Treatment





Operator will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support audits and inspections, and help optimize plant operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Plant Operations, ensuring reliable and efficient running of treatment facilities.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Water Treatment processes for potable and industrial applications.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Wastewater Treatment, including biological, chemical, and physical treatment methods.
- Candidates should possess abilities in Process Control, including monitoring parameters, adjusting settings, and interpreting data trends.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Pump Stations, including operation, basic troubleshooting, and routine checks.
- Diploma or degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in water or wastewater treatment plants, utilities, or industrial process operations is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of safety practices, environmental regulations, and compliance standards relevant to water treatment.
- Ability to work in shift-based schedules, perform field inspections, and handle physically demanding tasks when required.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
