## About the Role

We are looking for a Network Test Engineer – Cybersecurity to join our engineering/QA team and help validate the performance, reliability, interoperability, and security of networking and cybersecurity products.

The ideal candidate will have strong networking fundamentals, hands-on experience with network/security testing, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to automate test scenarios using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

## Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans for networking and cybersecurity products.

Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, scalability, and interoperability testing.

Test networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, VPN, VLAN, NAT, routing, and switching.

Test security products such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure gateways, VPNs, proxies, and network-monitoring solutions.

Create realistic network traffic and security/attack scenarios to evaluate product behavior and resilience.

Develop and maintain automated test cases and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Analyze packet captures, logs, alerts, and system metrics to troubleshoot issues and identify performance bottlenecks.

Reproduce customer-reported issues and collaborate with developers on root-cause analysis and defect resolution.

Set up, configure, and maintain physical and virtual network test environments.

Document test results, defects, risks, and release-readiness recommendations.

Participate in product requirement and technical design reviews.

Continuously improve test methodologies, automation, tools, and quality standards.

## Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.

4–7 years of experience in network testing, system testing, quality engineering, or a similar role.





Strong understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and application-layer protocols.

Hands-on experience with Linux and network troubleshooting.

Experience with network testing/troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, iPerf, Nmap, Spirent, Ixia, or equivalent.

Hands-on experience testing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, proxies, or network-security products.

Programming/scripting experience with Python, Bash, or equivalent.

Familiarity with test automation frameworks, Git/version control, defect-tracking tools, and CI/CD.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate complex, multi-layer issues.

Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

## Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Knowledge of VMware, KVM, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Familiarity with IPv6, BGP, OSPF, IPsec, SSL/TLS, SD-WAN, or Zero Trust architectures.

Exposure to vulnerability assessment, penetration-testing concepts, and common network attacks.

Experience with REST APIs and API-testing tools.

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum engineering environments.
