Flatscanner (flatscanner.ai) is an AI house-hunting analyst for the Indian rental market, starting with Bangalore. Paste any rental listing and Flatscanner returns a Flat Score: the real commute time to your office, how the rent compares to the locality median, what is within 1 km, and the red flags the listing does not mention. We compute those locality medians from our own corpus of scraped listings — proprietary data on what rent is actually being quoted, locality by locality, that almost nobody publishing rental content in India has access to.

Turning that data into pages people find is what this role exists to do.

Role Description

We are seeking an SEO & Content Contractor for a part time, remote position (India).

You will own organic growth end to end: building out programmatic locality pages backed by our real median data rather than the recycled paragraphs every other rental site runs, refreshing and republishing our existing library of house-hunting guides, and writing the data-led stories — "rents in this locality are being quoted X% above the median" — that earn coverage and links rather than buying them. You will own the keyword map for renting in Bangalore and tell us which pages to build next,



working with our web developer, who builds the page template to your specification. Success is measured on indexed pages and organic sessions, reviewed monthly, with a realistic three-to-six-month lag before the curve moves.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience ranking pages in a competitive Indian consumer category, with live examples you can share
- Experience with programmatic or templated page builds at scale, and a clear understanding of what separates them from thin content
- Proficiency in keyword research, on-page SEO and technical audits, with the judgement to prioritise rather than fix everything
- Strong command of Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and the ability to turn the data into a build order • Clear, plain English writing for readers who are stressed and comparing options, not for a keyword density tool
- Comfort working from real data and standing behind published numbers • Real estate, PropTech, fintech or travel experience is a plus — categories where accuracy is the product • Ability to work independently in a remote setting alongside a small founding team
