nWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong practical exposure to Capital Markets, Securities and Investment Accounting.

nKey Eligibility Requirement

nCandidates should have prior working experience with a Stock Broking Firm, Capital Markets Firm, PMS/AIF, Investment Company, Wealth Management Firm, Securities Firm, Family Office or similar financial-services organisation.

nCandidates having only general accounting experience without practical exposure to securities or investment-related accounting may not be suitable for this position.

nKey Responsibilities

n

n
- Accounting and reconciliation of Equity, F&O; and other investment transactions
n
- Reconciliation of broker ledgers, contract notes, Demat/DP statements, trade data, bank transactions and investment holdings
n
- Accounting and reconciliation of futures MTM, option premiums, margins and derivative transactions
n
- Understanding and accounting of brokerage, STT, exchange transaction charges, GST, stamp duty, DP charges and other securities-related transaction costs
n
- Calculation and reconciliation of realised and unrealised P&L;
n
- Investment accounting including purchase/sale transactions, cost of investments, corporate actions and closing holdings
n
- Preparation and reconciliation of capital gains and securities transaction data for taxation and audit purposes
n
- Bank reconciliation and monitoring of investment-related fund movements
n
- Handling TDS, GST, income-tax workings and other statutory compliances
n
- Preparation of MIS, schedules, ledgers and supporting data for audit and finalisation of accounts
n




- Handling accounting and reconciliation across multiple companies/entities and individual investment accounts
n
- Coordination with brokers, banks, auditors, consultants and other financial intermediaries
n
- Independently identifying and resolving discrepancies between books of accounts, broker records, bank statements and investment holdings.

nCandidate Profile

n

n
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent accounting qualification
n
- Relevant experience in Capital Markets / Securities / Investment Accounting
n
- Strong understanding of Equity and F&O; transactions
n
- Practical knowledge of broker reconciliation, Demat/DP operations, settlement, margins and investment accounting
n
- Strong accounting, taxation and reconciliation skills
n
- Good command of Excel and handling large financial transaction data
n
- Ability to independently analyse and resolve reconciliation differences
n
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
n
