A leading international bank is building out a brand-new payments audit portfolio, and is looking for a senior technology leader to own it end to end. This is a rare chance to step out of delivery and into assurance while staying close to the technology you know best — shaping how one of the world's major banks assures its payments estate, with a clear path to Managing Director for the right person.

It suits a payments technology practitioner — someone who has built or run payments platforms and now wants the broader remit, the seniority and the visibility that come with owning a portfolio. Domain depth leads here; the assurance craft can be learned.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Own end-to-end audit coverage for payments technology from day one, shaping the portfolio as it grows.
n
- Bring real technical challenge and an independent voice to how payments technology risk is understood across the bank.
n
- Report on payments technology controls and risk themes to senior stakeholders, translating technical risk into decisions.
n
- Build and lead your own team, and stand as a senior leader and mentor across the wider floor.
n
- Stay ahead of emerging risk across payments modernisation and, increasingly, digital assets.

To be eligible for this role you will require:





n

n
- 15+ years implementing or managing payments technology — genuinely hands-on, not oversight only.
n
- An appetite to move into a risk and control workplace (first, second or third line all welcome).
n
- Depth in one or more payment types — real-time, cross-border or market payments — with broad understanding across the rest.
n
- Proven senior director-level leadership — an established leader ready to build, not a first-time director.
n
- Exposure to digital assets a genuine advantage as the business expands.
