Reporting to the India Quality Manager & Head - Technical (Plant), this position is responsible to monitor and maintain the quality of the product based on the specified parameters for smooth running of the plant. This position is based at Latur location in India and a team of nearly 20 colleagues report (direct / in-direct) to this position.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining the quality of the products throughout the production activity.
- Responsible for availability & readiness of Chemicals, Glass wares & Test Equipment required for analysis as per SOPs.
- Responsible for timely samples collection, effective sampling procedure, timely report generation and adherence with safety practices.
- To ensure on timely testing & unloading of raw materials, on-time sampling, sealing & testing of dispatch materials.
- Coordination with exim for current RM Vessel sampling & testing with surveyor and also quality deviation, if any.
- Coordination with consultant and contractors for outsourced jobs.
- Arranging & forecasting of manpower, material, tools & machineries as per work requirement.
- Monitoring the ETP process parameters as per compliance.
- Responsible for Product Development and processing activities i.e.
Institutional
Sales, Lecithin, Soya chunks, Pulses, and legumes etc.
- Taking care of Packaging Material related compliance and jobs.
- Ensuring implementation of permit system.
Lock Out Tag
Out, Hot work etc.
- Maintain various records and reports in log book and preparing various MIS and documentation.
- Responsible for presenting departmental performance in monthly management review meeting (MRM).
- Coordination & immediate action plan with plant persons for any in-process quality deviations.
- Responsible for compliance audit under various certifications, regulatory and customer audits.
- Responsible for quality of finished products as per norms and customer demands.
- Customer complaint handling and response within timelines and effective RCA/CAPA.
- Preparation of Food Safety Policy, Budgeting, Standard Procedures, Formats etc.
- Reviewing and analysing process parameters for improving quality results through continuous internal audits procedures.
- Ensure liaison and compliance with govt. policies/rules under FSSAI / VOPA/ Legal Metrology etc.
- Coordination with Govt. Agencies for license / permission etc.
- Ensuring required trainings must be completed for the team.
- Adhering to decided KPIs, goals, and objectives and streamline team on the same to keep the right track.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
Your Profile
- University Degree in Chemical/ Chemical Technology, Food technology, Biotechnology/Microbiology etc.
- Relevant certification with necessary experiences will be preferred.
- 10-12 years' strong related experience as Manager.
- Experience of working in an FMCG or manufacturing organization. (Experience in Oil industry, Lecithin and Soya chunks processing.)
- Passionate about achieving high levels of excellence.
- Thorough knowledge of production parameters and procedures, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Impressive track record and experience within a similar position(s).
- Certifications like FSSC, ISO 22000:2018, BRC etc.
- People Management skills.
