Role Summary

nThe technical anchor of the engagement. Owns the end-to-end target-state architecture the medallion designs the silver/gold layer strategy and the narrative that ties platform capability decisions together into a single coherent roadmap and white paper.

nKey Responsibilities

- Lead the current-state architecture review of Snowflake SAP integration and the bronze/raw ingestion layer.
n
- Design the target-state medallion architecture including silver conformance standards and gold data-product patterns.
n
- Streams & Tasks, Dynamic Tables (for automating silver-layer refresh without hand-rolled orchestration)
n
- Snowpark (Python/Java/Scala) for transformation logic embedded in-platform
n
- Snowflake Cortex (LLM functions, Cortex Search/vector embeddings)- the architect needs to know how gold products get consumed by RAG pipelines or agents
n
- Time Travel, zero-copy cloning, secure data sharing used in the reference-pattern build and in designing non-disruptive silver/gold rollout
n
- Should be capable enough to evaluate the pattern (SAP CDC approaches: SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation), SAP Datasphere/BW connectors, ODP-based extraction, or third-party CDC tools (Qlik Replicate, HVR/Fivetran)) that fits customers actual SAP landscape

- dbt (or Coalesce/Matillion) for silver/gold transformation pipelines
n




- Azure Data Factory or Airflow for cross-system orchestration
n
- Facilitate architecture and whiteboarding workshops with Clients data architecture and platform stakeholders.
n
- Own the technical narrative of the white paper and roadmap ensuring consistency across all workstreams' inputs.
n
- Direct-line collaborate with the Cloud & Platform Architect and Governance/MDM Consultant to keep platform-capability recommendations coherent.
n
- Guide the reference-pattern build for the 1–2 priority domains from an architecture st and point.

nRequired Experience & Skills

n

n

n
- 12+ years in data architecture including at least one full lifecycle as "head of data platform/data lake" spanning both build and run responsibility.
n
- Deep h ands-on experience designing medallion/Lakehouse architectures on Snowflake at enterprise scale.
n
- Experience integrating SAP-sourced data into a contemporary cloud data platform.
n
- Familiarity with AI/agent data-consumption patterns and what "AI-ready" data requires operationally.
n

nQualifications & Certifications (preferred)

- SnowPro Advanced Architect (or equivalent Snowflake certification).
n
- Azure or relevant cloud architecture certification (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
n
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is a plus.
