About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Vice President – FIG Coverage to join our Investment Banking team. The role will focus on building and managing senior relationships with financial institutions and driving origination and execution of strategic and capital market transactions.

The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of the Financial Services sector, excellent client relationships, proven transaction experience, and the ability to independently originate and execute mandates.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead FIG coverage and relationship management across financial institutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Banks, NBFCs, Insurance Companies, Asset Management Companies, FinTechs and other financial institutions.
- Identify and originate opportunities across:
- M&A; and strategic advisory
- Equity Capital Markets (ECM)
- IPOs and QIPs
- Private Placements
- Fundraising and structured transactions
- Strategic investments and partnerships
- Develop transaction ideas and pitch materials based on client requirements and market opportunities.
- Drive the end-to-end execution of transactions in coordination with internal teams, clients and external advisors.
- Conduct sector research, company analysis, valuation and financial modelling.
- Prepare pitch books, information memorandums, valuation analyses and transaction presentations.
- Work closely with senior management to develop and execute the FIG business strategy.
- Track sector trends, regulatory developments, valuations and competitive dynamics within financial services.




- Mentor and guide analysts and associates within the FIG team.
- Collaborate with ECM, DCM, M&A;, Research and other product teams to develop cross-selling opportunities.

Candidate Profile
- Qualification: MBA / PGDM / CA / CFA / equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience: Approximately 8–12+ years of relevant Investment Banking / Corporate Finance experience.
- Strong experience in FIG / Financial Services sector coverage.
- Proven track record in origination and execution of Investment Banking transactions.
- Strong understanding of financial services business models and valuation methodologies.
- Established relationships with CXOs, promoters, founders and senior decision-makers within the financial services sector.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple mandates and work effectively in a high-performance environment.
