Key Responsibilities

- Create 2D backgrounds, environments and locations for animated TV shows.
n
- Design interiors, exteriors, landscapes and other scene environments based on the show's visual style.
n
- Work closely with Storyboard Artists, Directors and Animators to develop backgrounds as per scene requirements.
n
- Maintain consistency in perspective, scale, colours, lighting and visual style across episodes.
n
- Create background layouts and assets required for animation production.
n
- Make revisions based on creative feedback and production requirements.
n
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality artwork as per production schedules.

Requirements

n

n




- 2–5 years of experience as a Background Artist/Environment Artist in 2D animation.
n
- Strong drawing, perspective and environment-design skills.
n
- Good understanding of composition, lighting, colour and depth.
n
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, TVPaint, or similar software.
n
- Ability to follow an established art style and maintain consistency.
n
- Robust attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
n
- Portfolio/showreel is mandatory.
n

Experience in 2D animated TV shows, kids' animation or episodic content will be preferred.
