Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Chartered Accountant at Sabapathy & Dhandapani.

The Chartered

Accountant will handle audit and assurance engagements, including planning, execution, and documentation in line with professional standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing tax computations and filings, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements. The role also involves analyzing financial data, identifying process improvements, advising clients on tax and financial matters, and supporting strategic business decisions. Collaboration with internal teams and clients,



timely reporting, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting and tax regulations are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent, with strong knowledge of accounting standards and auditing practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in auditing, assurance, and financial reporting, including preparation and review of financial statements.
- Proficiency in tax advisory and compliance, including direct and indirect tax laws, tax planning, and return filings.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, statutory requirements, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide practical recommendations.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and tax concepts clearly.
- Comfort with work from home, time management, and the use of accounting and productivity software (e.g., ERP systems, spreadsheets, audit tools).
- Prior experience in consulting, practice, or corporate finance roles is an advantage; exposure to multiple industries is beneficial.
