Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a CAD Design – New Product Development professional. The role involves creating and refining detailed technical drawings and CAD models for new packaging products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal quality standards. The individual will collaborate closely with product development, production, and sales teams to translate design concepts into manufacturable solutions and optimize packaging structures for efficiency and aesthetics.

Responsibilities include applying CAD standards, preparing documentation for manufacturing, supporting prototype development,



and incorporating feedback from trials and clients into design improvements. The role also includes maintaining organized design files, adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and familiarity with CAD Standards for packaging or product design.
- Candidates should possess skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing interpretation to create precise, production-ready design documentation.
- Candidates should possess experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) or similar 3D modeling methodologies where relevant to structural design.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Technology, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in packaging, printing, or manufacturing environments, particularly with paperboard or flexible packaging, is an advantage.
- Proficiency in common CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) and basic knowledge of MS Office tools is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and clients.
