Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Career Counselor role based in Kamrup Metropolitan.

The Career

Counselor will provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to students, guiding them on academic choices, career paths, internships, and placement opportunities. The role involves conducting career development workshops, psychometric assessments, and information sessions on emerging career trends and industry requirements.

The role also includes maintaining counseling records, preparing guidance materials, and proactively supporting students through regular communication and follow-up.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Career Counseling, Career Development, and Career Management to guide learners in planning and progressing in their professional journeys.
- Experience in Student Counseling, including academic guidance, personal adjustment support, and transition planning for higher studies or employment.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse student groups, explain complex information clearly, and conduct interactive sessions.
- Relevant academic background, such as a master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Certifications or training in counseling, career guidance, or psychometric assessment are highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, show empathy, and work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams.
- Familiarity with current labor market trends, higher education opportunities, and industry requirements.
