Antariksha Labs

Company Description Antariksha Labs is focused on transforming education and innovation through practical, hands-on learning experiences built around cutting-edge hardware modules and a robust developer platform. The company specializes in satellite-inspired technologies and modular hardware solutions that bridge the gap between theory and real-world applications, from educational model satellites to industry-grade systems. Its platforms support space technology exploration, aerial testing, and scalable research projects, giving learners and professionals the flexibility to prototype and deploy bold ideas. Antariksha Labs partners with educators, industry leaders, and creators to foster a collaborative community where recent solutions can be developed, tested, and commercialized. Through its one-stop platform, creators can bring their designs to market and leverage data-driven tools for real-world use cases.
Role Description The Interactive Web Developer (Contract-to-Perm) will design, build, and maintain highly interactive 3D and motion-rich product websites using technologies such as Three.js, WebGL, GSAP, and Framer. In this part-time/contract remote role, the developer will collaborate with design, product, and hardware plus software teams to translate complex technical concepts into engaging, performant web experiences that showcase Antariksha Labs’ platforms and solutions. You will build two product websites — one for an energy intelligence platform spanning consumer, commercial, and utility products, and one for a modular space-technology hardware line used in education and research.
Both brands sell technical products that need to be understood before they are bought: hardware that must be seen from every angle, software interfaces that need to be shown in motion, and systems whose value only lands when the visitor can see how the pieces connect. We are looking for someone who can build product experiences — 3D hardware visualisation, scroll-driven explanation, purposeful motion — not someone who assembles pages from a template. The technology stack is deliberately open. We have not decided whether these sites are best built hand-coded, in Framer or Webflow pushed past their defaults, or as a hybrid. Part of what we want from you is that judgment. Come with a point of view on what each brand actually needs, and the range to build it either way.
You will work closely with our graphics designer and marketing associate, not in isolation. Design direction, copy, brand assets, and campaign requirements will come from them, and you will be in continuous conversation with both — advising on what is technically feasible, what will hurt performance,
and where a design needs to change to survive contact with the browser. Collaborative working is a requirement of this role, not a preference. We expect and encourage the use of AI development tools. What we assess is the finished site — its quality, performance, and maintainability — not how it was produced.
Both websites to be delivered within 2 months at a fixed rate of ₹12,000 per month, followed by an ongoing maintenance retainer at a rate agreed at handover.
What You'll Build
Two complete product websites, concept through launch, each with its own distinct visual identity
Interactive 3D product visualisation — hardware devices and satellite modules the visitor can rotate, explore, and inspect
Scroll-driven narrative sections explaining how technical systems work
Product and application pages for both consumer and enterprise audiences
Campaign landing pages and microsites on fast turnaround
CMS structures the marketing team can update independently, without returning to you
Component systems and design tokens that hold consistent as the sites grow
Performance, accessibility, and responsive behaviour across devices and connection speeds
On-page SEO foundations — semantic structure, metadata, sitemaps, page speed
Ongoing maintenance, content updates, and incremental feature work post-launch
Core Technical Requirements
Frontend Engineering
Expert JavaScript — modern ES, modules, async patterns, DOM performance
HTML5 and CSS3 at depth: Grid, Flexbox, custom properties, container queries
Fluid responsive design across the full range, not three fixed breakpoints
Framework experience — React, Next.js, Astro, Svelte, or equivalent
Build tooling and version control: Vite, npm, Git
3D & WebGL
Three.js and WebGL in production — scenes, materials, lighting, camera work
Model optimisation: glTF, Draco compression, LOD, texture and draw-call budgets
Graceful degradation where WebGL is unsupported or the device cannot sustain it
GLSL shader fundamentals (advantageous, not essential)
Motion & Interaction
GSAP — timelines, ScrollTrigger, complex sequencing
CSS animation and the Web Animations API
Genuine motion judgment: easing, timing, restraint, and knowing when not to animate
Scroll-driven experiences that do not wreck performance or accessibility
Visual Development Platforms
Framer — advanced use including code components, CMS, and custom interactions
Webflow — custom interactions, CMS collections, and custom code beyond platform limits
Clear understanding of where each platform's ceiling sits and when to move to code
Design & Animation Tooling
Spline — 3D scene creation and web integration
Rive — interactive, state-driven animation and runtime integration
Working fluently from Figma, with the judgment to improve on a design where needed
Collaboration
Working daily alongside a graphics designer and a marketing associate
Translating design direction into technical reality, and explaining constraints clearly
Taking brand, copy, and campaign input and integrating it without friction
Direct communication on timelines, trade-offs, and what a shortcut will cost later
Advantageous
Lottie / After Effects motion assets
Headless CMS — Sanity, Contentful, Payload
Physics, particle, or generative systems — Cannon, Rapier, custom
WebGPU or advanced shader work
Serverless functions, API integration, form handling
Analytics and conversion instrumentation — GA4, Search Console, event tracking
Deployment on Vercel, Netlify, or Cloudflare
Prior work on hardware, deep-tech, space, energy, or B2B technical products
Fluent use of AI-assisted development tooling
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development and Web Design skills, with experience in modern frameworks and tools for building interactive, responsive user interfaces.
Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development skills, including working with APIs, server-side logic, and integrating data services into dynamic web applications.
Candidates should possess broad Web Development skills that span both client-side and server-side considerations, including performance optimization and cross-platform compatibility.
Candidates should possess Programming skills with proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with libraries and tools such as Three.js, WebGL, GSAP, and Framer for 3D and motion experiences.
Candidates should possess experience in interaction design, accessibility best practices, and responsive layouts to ensure inclusive and reliable user experiences.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, using version control (e.g., Git), and working in remote, asynchronous environments is beneficial.
Familiarity with STEM, edtech, or hardware-driven products, along with a portfolio showcasing interactive or 3D web projects, is a strong advantage
