Role Description The Articled Clerk internship role at NISARG J SHAH & CO is an on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The intern will assist in audit and assurance assignments, including vouching, checking financial records, and preparing working papers. Daily tasks will include supporting direct and indirect tax compliance, GST return preparation, and basic tax computations.

Clerk will help with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and documentation for regulatory filings, while maintaining organized records and adhering to professional standards.



The role also involves collaborating with team members, communicating with clients under supervision, and learning firm methodologies and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing concepts.
- Knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, including GST, and interest in learning compliance procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting or ERP software is an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to analyze data, apply logical reasoning, and follow professional standards and guidelines.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and willingness to take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Enrollment in or completion of skilled accounting courses (such as CA) as per applicable regulations for articled training.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Ahmedabad.
