Role Description The Academic Counsellor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hamirpur.

The Academic

Counsellor will meet with students and families to understand academic goals, learning challenges, and career aspirations, and provide appropriate guidance.

Responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, advising on course selection, tracking student performance, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves coordinating with teaching staff, organizing orientation sessions, and conducting workshops or seminars related to academic planning and exam readiness.

The Academic

Counsellor will also respond to student queries,



provide regular follow-up, and support a positive and inclusive educational environment.

Qualifications

- Strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills, with the ability to guide learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication with students, families, and staff.
- Career Counseling experience, with the ability to help students explore educational pathways and future opportunities.
- Background in Education or related fields, with understanding of school and coaching institute systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Ability to build trust, show empathy, and maintain confidentiality in all counseling interactions.
- Organizational and documentation skills for managing student records, reports, and follow-ups.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and student information or CRM systems.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, coaching institutes, or student advisory roles is preferred.
