Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based at Taj Cidade de Goa in Panaji reporting to the Director of Finance (this is the No2 position in the department). This role oversees all finance and accounting operations, including preparation and review of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. The Financial Controller ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, monitors internal controls, and supports compliance with statutory and corporate requirements. The role includes supervising the accounting team, managing audits, analyzing financial performance, and advising management on cost optimization and revenue enhancement opportunities.



Daily responsibilities also involve coordination with operational departments, reviewing reconciliations, and maintaining robust financial processes aligned with hotel business objectives. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Finance and Analytical Skills to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Reporting and Financial Statements to ensure accurate and timely disclosures. Candidates should possess solid Accounting skills to manage ledgers, reconciliations, and compliance with relevant standards. Candidates should possess proficiency with financial and accounting software, spreadsheets, and ERP systems. Professional qualification of CA in First Attempt cleared till intermediate level and not more than two attempts in CA final exam. Branded Hotels Experience – Minimum seven years Relevant experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader, in hospitality industry. Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
