Job Description:

Manager / Senior Manager – Navigation, Guidance & Control (Autonomous Marine Systems)

Responsible for the design, development, integration and validation of

Navigation, Guidance & Control (NGC) systems for autonomous underwater and un-crewed marine platforms

The role shall develop robust navigation and state-estimation solutions using INS/IMU/DVL/GNSS/depth and other onboard sensors, including sensor fusion, dead-reckoning and GPS-denied navigation.

Develop and validate

guidance, waypoint/path-following and vehicle-control algorithms

, including PID/adaptive control, control-surface/thruster allocation, actuator command generation and degraded-mode behaviour. Support integration of navigation,autonomy, platform-control and mission-management software with onboard sensors, actuators and vehicle systems.

Develop and utilise

physics-based vehicle models, simulation, SIL/HIL and data-replay settings

for algorithm development,tuning,



verification and validation prior to vehicle deployment. Plan and support laboratory, harbour and sea trials; analyse vehicle performance and recorded data; identify root causes and progressively improve navigation and control performance.

Work closely with Systems Engineering, Software, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical/Hydrodynamics, Payload and Integration teams to define system requirements, interfaces, operating behaviours and verification criteria. Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, supplier/technology evaluations and development of reusable NGC and simulation capabilities across UMS platforms.

The role requires solid hands-on capability in

AUV/marine robotics, NGC, INS/IMU/DVL integration, KF/EKF sensor fusion, GPS-denied navigation, control-system design, C/C++/Python/MATLAB, vehicle modelling/simulation and system integration/testing
