What you will do

The Solution Architect will report directly to the Lead Solution Architect. You will be part of a team that is focused on harnessing the power of the cloud, data analytics, the Internet of Things, and user design thinking to deliver on the promise of intelligent buildings and smart cities that connect communities in ways that make people’s lives - and the world - better.

As a Solution Architect, you will work with customers & partners to conceive, design, and implement technology solutions and map the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan. You will partner with business and technology leaders at Johnson Controls and with our customers to help them choose the best technical architecture to solve their business needs.

How you will do it

As an experienced Solution Architect, you will use your technical expertise to review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements to ensure alignment between customer expectations and Johnson Controls solutions.



You will be expected to work closely with Johnson Controls customers, partners and internal stakeholders to carry out the following responsibilities:
System architecture
Define logical architecture and data flows for OpenBlue solutions
Identify data requirements
Arrange and attend customer design workshops as required
Prepare Solution Architecture document
Authentication
Liaise with customer IT for enterprise SSO
Data security & privacy
Coordinate Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
Coordinate cyber-security assessments and workshops
Define integrations
Coordinate with manufacturers to get API specs
Coordinate with manufacturers to arrange test systems
Liaise with connector team to ensure that they have everything they need
Prepare Interface Control Documents as required
OpenBlue Bridge (OBB) gateway design
Identify OBB quantity, spec & configuration
Define network architecture f
