Role description:
ITAM Operations Analyst / IT Asset Management Specialist
Key Responsibilities
ITAM Operations:
Perform daily asset uploads from shipping reports (manual for EMEA, APAC, Canada; automation in progress for US).
Manage hardware vendor discrepancies (assets received but not listed in reports).
Monitor ITAM mailbox, respond to queries, and resolve user issues.
Handle ITAM incident queue and ensure SLA-based resolution.
Validate and monitor asset-related changes deployed to production (device wipes, auto-assigned devices, exit notifications).
Execute bulk updates in ServiceNow with 100% accuracy and validation.
Manage Ariba kitting processes where applicable.
Maintain complete asset lifecycle: Install, Add, Modify, Decommission, Retire/Dispose.
Investigate and resolve CMDB discrepancies and data accuracy issues.
Maintain warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts.
Compliance & Process Governance:
Ensure adherence to workflows for:
Exiting employees
Lost/Stolen/Missing assets
Asset returns
Coordinate RMA processes with OEM vendors.
Drive process improvements across ITAM and support teams.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as liaison for Tech Café Services and internal teams.
Conduct monthly meetings with technicians for feedback and updates.
Provide training on ITAM processes and ServiceNow updates.
Serve as primary contact for ServiceNow-related queries and access limitations.
Finance & Reconciliation:
Collaborate with Fixed Asset Reconciliation (FAR) team on a weekly basis.
Support quarterly/half-yearly financial reconciliation activities.
Track and resolve discrepancies with finance teams.
Testing & Continuous Improvement:
Perform testing for ServiceNow upgrades and enhancements.
Support current feature validation across asset lifecycle platforms (ServiceNow, Snow, Marketplace, etc.).
