About The Company

GoodHiresOnly is hiring for a leading global laboratory infrastructure (Fortune 500 company) with more than 120 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, and installing advanced laboratory solutions. The company delivers laboratory furniture, fume hoods, biological safety cabinets, and integrated laboratory infrastructure for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, research, and industrial clients. With operations across the United States, Europe, Middle east, India, and China, it supports technically complex, multi-location projects for organisations operating in highly regulated environments.

This opportunity is for an experienced senior project manager MEP who can translate technical and commercial commitments into reliable execution across Western India.

About The Role

The Regional Project Manager (MEP) will own the day-to-day execution and delivery of multiple MEP engineering projects across Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. The role is designed to create a clear separation between project execution and regional business management: while the Regional Business Head focuses on strategic business development, operations, finance, and client acquisition, the Regional Project Head ensures disciplined delivery, effective stakeholder coordination, and high client satisfaction.

The successful candidate will oversee four to five concurrent projects valued approximately between ₹50 crore and ₹300 crore, lead a regional project team of around 10–15 professionals, and serve as the principal face of the organisation for clients, vendors, design teams, and site stakeholders. This is a highly visible, travel-intensive role requiring technical understanding, commercial awareness, decisive problem-solving, and the maturity to operate within a dual-reporting structure.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Portfolio Management: Oversee four to five simultaneous projects across the region, ranging approximately from ₹50 crore to ₹300 crore in value, from planning and mobilisation through completion.
- Site Execution and Delivery: Conduct regular on-site project reviews, monitor progress against approved plans, manage site resources, and ensure timely completion in accordance with quality and safety standards.
- Client Partnership: Act as the primary interface between the organisation and its clients, maintain consistent communication, manage expectations, address concerns proactively, and provide transparent project updates.
- Recovery and Issue Resolution: Identify delays and delivery risks early, lead corrective actions,

and develop practical recovery schedules for projects that fall behind plan.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a regional team of approximately 10–15 professionals, including Engineers, Assistant Managers, and Managers; build accountability, motivation, retention, and execution discipline.
- People Management: Develop and mentor team members, resolve internal conflicts, address people-related issues in coordination with HR, and foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Conduct vendor meetings and negotiations at project sites, monitor vendor performance and compliance, and resolve disputes or conflicts that could affect delivery.
- Technical Coordination: Review and interpret MEP, HVAC, Revit, and AutoCAD drawings; identify design discrepancies; communicate required corrections; and coordinate effectively with design and MEP teams. Drafting is not required.
- Financial and Revenue Management: Ensure timely generation and submission of client invoices, monitor accounts receivable and collections, and support revenue-stream and cash-flow management for project delivery.
- Project Governance and Reporting: Prepare accurate project documentation, weekly MIS reports, management updates, risk registers, action trackers, and real-time status reports within agreed timelines.
- Cross-functional Alignment: Coordinate with engineering, design, sales, procurement, finance, site execution teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project commitments remain aligned.
- Regional Mobility: Travel extensively to project sites, client locations, vendor meetings, and other business locations across Maharashtra and Gujarat, with flexibility to travel outside the base location when required.

Project Workplace

- MEP-intensive laboratory and facility infrastructure projects.
- Pharmaceutical laboratory fit-outs, refurbishments, greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Projects serving pharmaceutical, chemical, crop-protection, biochemical, hospital, and related technical environments.
- Multi-site execution involving clients, design teams, vendors, contractors, and on-ground project teams.

Required Skills & Experience

- Professional Experience: 15–20 years of experience in project management, project execution, or project delivery, preferably with EPC companies or similar contracting organisations.

- Leadership and Judgement: Strong team leadership, coaching, conflict-resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Personal Effectiveness: Dynamic, energetic, organised, resilient, and comfortable spending significant time at project sites and travelling extensively.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related engineering discipline.
- Certification: PMP certification or an equivalent project-management credential is preferred.
- Commercial Exposure: Experience with invoice submission, accounts receivable follow-up, collections coordination, project profitability, or cash-flow tracking.
- Regional Experience: Prior experience managing projects or teams across a geographically distributed region.

1. Customer Satisfaction – Target: Maintain a target customer satisfaction level of 9/10 through regular engagement, transparent communication, proactive issue resolution, and timely project updates.
