Key Responsibilities
New Product

Development & Documentation
Develop current products as per customer and organisational requirements.
Prepare and maintain all NPD-related process documentation, including:
APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) charts
Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
Control Plans
Work Instructions for critical components and assemblies
PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation
Part Submission Warrant (PSW)
Vendor

Development
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for recent product components within targeted cost parameters.
Develop and qualify vendors for castings, forgings, and other critical components.
Process

Development & Manufacturing Readiness
Ability to read & understand the Engineering drawings.
Establish manufacturing, assembly, testing, and painting processes for current products.
Provide technical guidance and support to vendors to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Coordinate vendor trials and approval activities.




Develop process documentation and standard operating procedures.
Project

Planning & Execution
Prepare detailed project timelines and activity schedules for NPD projects.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to customer timelines.
Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, and Vendor teams to achieve project milestones.
Prepare and present weekly project status reports to management.
Continuous

Improvement
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement during product development.
Support implementation of engineering changes and product improvements.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality management systems and customer requirements.
Design, develop, and validate fixtures, gauges, assembly aids, and testing setups.
Ensure process capability and manufacturability before product launch.
