- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Image Analysis, Remote Sensing, and GIS-related work.

Key Skills & Technical Requirements

- Hands-on experience with ERDAS, ArcGIS, ENVI, SNAP, and similar GIS/image-processing software.
n
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly for data storage and computational processing.
n
- Robust experience in Microwave Satellite Data Processing.
n
- Hands-on experience with Google Earth Engine (GEE).
n
- Experience in Satellite Image Processing, including:
n
- Geo-referencing
n
- GIS data creation
n
- DEM creation and analysis
n
- Image classification and analysis
n
- Other remote sensing and GIS-related activities
n
- Practical experience in Optical and Microwave satellite image analysis.
n
- Good understanding of GIS and remote sensing concepts.
n
- Ability to understand the interdependency and correlation between satellite data and biophysical data.

- Understanding of satellite data and ground-based weather/climate data will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Process and analyze optical and microwave satellite imagery.
n
- Perform geo-referencing, GIS data creation, DEM generation, and spatial analysis.
n
- Conduct image analysis using ERDAS, ArcGIS, ENVI, SNAP, and Google Earth Engine.
n
- Process and interpret satellite data for GIS and remote sensing applications.
n
- Work with cloud-based infrastructure for storage, processing, and analysis of geospatial data.
n
- Analyze relationships between satellite observations and biophysical/weather/climate data.
n
- Support GIS-based mapping, visualization, and other geospatial analysis activities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of GIS, Remote Sensing, Satellite Image Processing, and Image Analysis, with hands-on experience in both Optical and Microwave data and relevant GIS software.
