Responsibilities
Manage the complete procurement and purchasing process, from receiving purchase requirements to delivery.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, service, and delivery capabilities.
Obtain and compare quotations and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
Negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and service conditions.
Coordinate with respective departments to understand their material and service requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of purchased materials and follow up with vendors on pending orders.
Monitor purchase costs, budgets, and expenditure to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Maintain proper documentation and records of quotations, purchase orders, invoices, vendor details, and related procurement documents.
Conduct periodic vendor evaluation and performance reviews.
Identify prospects for cost reduction, bulk purchasing, and process improvement.
Ensure procurement activities comply with organisational policies, approval procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.
Handle vendor-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, shortages,



replacements, and disputes.
Prepare regular reports on purchases, pending orders, vendor performance, and procurement expenditure.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure transparency and ethical practices throughout the procurement process.
Support management in developing and implementing annual procurement plans and budgets.

Qualifications
Master's/ Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration
Skilled certification in Procurement / Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
5–8 years of experience in purchase, preferably with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
Experience in an educational institution, corporate organization, hospitality, facility management will be an advantage.
