About the Role

We are looking for an SDE - II (Backend) to develop scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, optimize, and maintain backend services while following coding standards and best engineering practices. This role is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building reliable, productive software.

Key Responsibilities • Work closely with Leads and Product teams to align technical direction and deliverables
Support design and code reviews within the team
Write highly optimized and performant code using appropriate design patterns and data structures
Take part in architectural discussions and drive changes to support business goals
Contribute to initiatives to re-architect sub-systems as needed to support business growth

Requirements





Key Skills • Strong experience working on highly scalable systems
Development experience in Core Java programming and related backend Java frameworks such as Spring
Good grasp of distributed programming concepts, with the ability to evaluate the pros and cons of each approach
Solid understanding of messaging systems, with hands-on experience using platforms such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
Solid problem-solving skills and command of data structures
Advanced concurrency skills in Java, including knowledge of optimistic and pessimistic locking and their trade-offs
Valuable command of JDBC, including its various constructs, with experience in relational database systems
Hands-on experience with Java performance tuning, garbage collectors, and profilers
Solid understanding of distributed design practices, with a strong appetite for continuous learning
Sound knowledge of design patterns and their contextual application
Strong belief in and practice of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Self-driven, responsible, and detail-oriented
Strong collaborator with the ability to participate in and guide technical discussions
