About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our web and mobile applications through manual testing strategies. You will design test cases, perform exploratory testing, and track defects while collaborating closely with developers and product managers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, scenarios, and checklists.
Perform manual functional, regression, integration, usability, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile platforms.
Identify, document, track, and manage software defects through resolution using tools like Jira.
Execute exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, responsive layout issues, and unexpected failure modes.
Collaborate with developers and product teams during requirement reviews to improve user experience and overall product quality.
Maintain QA documentation, test summary reports, and defect logs.




Guide and support junior team members in effective test design and defect reporting.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in manual software quality assurance and testing.
Solid expertise in manual test case design, execution, boundary-value analysis, and defect lifecycles.
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Practical experience using Jira, TestRail, or similar test management tools.
Robust analytical, cross-functional debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) to validate backend services and integrations.
Working knowledge of SQL and database testing for data integrity and validation checks.
Experience in responsive layout and cross-browser testing across desktop and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JSON) to inspect logs and debug UI defects.
Familiarity with cross-device testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
