About Red Dot Foundation (Safecity)
Safecity is a platform that crowdsources personal stories of sexual harassment and abuse in public spaces. This data which may be anonymous gets aggregated as hot spots on a map indicating trends at a local level. The idea is to make this data practical for individuals, local communities and local administration to identify factors that cause behaviour that leads to violence and work on strategies for solutions. Since our launch on 26th December 2012, we have collected almost 9000 stories from over 50 cities in India, Nepal, Kenya, & Cameroon. Safecity aims to make cities safer by encouraging equal access to public spaces for everyone especially women through the use of crowdsourced data and technology.





About the work from home job/internship:
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
Managing Safecity’s Social Media Handles (One among Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin or Worldpulse)
Strategising collaborations for different events
Coordinating and participating in Tweetchats (At least 6 in 3 Months) and webinars/ sessions ( at least 6 in 3 months)
Ideating, creating and managing content for weekly campaigns
Handling Instagram takeovers
Assisting the team with the amplification of Safecity’s app
