Key Responsibilities
Technical Inspection: Read blueprints, WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), and specifications to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Weld & Fabrication Inspection: Perform visual inspection (VT) of welds for cracks, undercuts, porosity, and alignment, checking for structural integrity.
Measurement: Use precision tools like micrometers, calipers, gauges, and tape measures.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry codes (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME) and project specifications.
Documentation: Prepare inspection reports, NDT reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
