Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with production, machinist, and vendor teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
Prototyping & Testing: Build, assembly, and test prototypes. Document test procedures, analyze performance data, and troubleshoot mechanical failures Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming parts and prototypes against technical drawings and tolerance requirements using basic measuring tools
CAD Design & Drafting: Assist in creating 3D CAD models, detailed assembly drawings, and 2D manufacturing prints using NX or Creo software.
Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) for precision-machined parts.
Fundamental knowledge of precision manufacturing processes (CNC milling, wire EDM, grinding, sheet metal fabrication).
