Roles and responsibilities:
Set and operate CNC Turn-Mill machines as per production requirements.
Perform fixture, chuck, tool and component setting.
Set tool offsets, work offsets, geometry and wear offsets.
Load, verify and prove out CNC programs.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.;
Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts and machining parameters.
Carry out turning, milling, drilling, tapping, boring, grooving and related operations.
Perform first-piece inspection and make necessary offset corrections.
Monitor dimensional accuracy, surface finish and tool condition during production.
Troubleshoot machining problems such as tool wear, vibration, chatter, dimensional variation and tool breakage.
Maintain required production quantity, quality and cycle time.
Minimize rejection, rework and machine downtime.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
Maintain setup sheets,



inspection records and other production documents.
Follow 5S, safety procedures and standard operating instructions.

Required Skills
Valuable knowledge of CNC Turn-Mill machine setting.
Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls is preferred.
Valuable understanding of G & M codes and CNC programs.
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts and machining parameters.
Ability to use Vernier, Micrometre, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
Valuable understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances and Documentations
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Candidate
ITI/Diploma Mechanical / BE-Mechanical + 36 years of experience in CNC Turn-Mill setting NPD and production.
