Job Purpose To manage electrical and instrumentation activities at the plant, ensuring reliable operation of machinery, effective troubleshooting, minimum downtime, and smooth shift operations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities across the plant.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems and breakdowns to minimize machine downtime.
Handle and maintain PLC, drives/VFDs, electrical panels, motors, sensors, and related control systems.
Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of SPM (Special Purpose Machines) and other production equipment.
Monitor machine performance and identify recurring electrical and automation-related issues.
Ensure timely preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Take overall responsibility for shift management, ensuring smooth plant operations and timely resolution of technical issues.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Utilities, and other departments for effective resolution of breakdowns and operational issues.
Maintain breakdown records, maintenance reports, checklists, and other required documentation.




Ensure proper availability and utilization of critical electrical spares.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, GMP, food safety requirements, and plant SOPs.
Lead and supervise the electrical/instrumentation team and ensure effective manpower utilization.
Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and improvement of recent machines and automation systems.
Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Qualification & Experience
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Food Industry manufacturing plants is mandatory.
Solid hands-on experience in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
Valuable knowledge of PLC and Drives/VFDs.
Experience in handling and troubleshooting SPM (Special Purpose Machines) and production machinery.
Experience in overall shift management and team handling.
Candidates from Food Industry with relevant plant experience will only be considered.
Educational qualification: B. Tech/B.E./Diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
