Job Summary

The Tea & Spice Extraction Machine Operator / Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining extraction equipment used for producing natural extracts, essential oils, oleoresins, and botanical concentrates from tea and spices. The role involves handling extraction processes such as Steam Distillation, Solvent Extraction, and Supercritical CO₂ Extraction while ensuring product quality, process efficiency, and compliance with food safety and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities:





Operate and monitor extraction equipment as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Prepare raw materials (tea leaves, spices, herbs, and botanicals) for extraction.

Set up and operate:

Steam Distillation units

Solvent Extraction systems

Supercritical CO₂ Extraction systems

Monitor critical process parameters including Temperature ,Pressure, Flow rate, Extraction time, Vacuum levels

Perform equipment start-up, shutdown procedures.

Collect product samples for quality analysis.

Troubleshoot minor machine and process issues.

Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate with the maintenance team for major repairs.

Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and workplace safety standards.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the extraction area.

Handle solvents and chemicals safely according to company safety guidelines.

Minimize process losses and maximize extraction yield.
