Job Description – Foundry Supervisor

Position: Foundry Supervisor
Department: Foundry
Location: Ravi Brass (India) Pvt. Ltd., Jamnagar
Experience: 3–7 Years in Brass Foundry / Metal Casting

Job Responsibilities
Supervise and manage day-to-day foundry production activities to achieve production targets.
Monitor melting, alloy composition, casting, and material handling processes.
Ensure proper furnace operation, temperature control, and metal pouring as per process requirements.
Monitor production quality and minimize rejection, scrap, and material wastage.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of foundry machinery, furnaces, tools, and equipment.
Allocate manpower and manage shift-wise work efficiently.
Ensure compliance with 5S, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC, and Stores departments for smooth operations.
Maintain production records, rejection reports,



downtime records, and other required documentation.
Identify process problems and implement corrective actions and KAIZEN initiatives.
Train and guide operators and workers on proper foundry processes and safety practices.

Required Skills
Good knowledge of Brass Melting & Casting processes.
Knowledge of furnace operation, alloy mixing, temperature control, and casting defects.
Robust manpower handling and supervisory skills.
Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and 5S.
Positive problem-solving and communication skills.

Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, or related field preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
