Gym Housekeeping Staff – Job Description

Position: Gym Housekeeping / Cleaning Staff

Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and well-organized workplace throughout the gym. The housekeeping staff ensures that workout areas, equipment, washrooms, changing rooms, reception areas, and other facilities are cleaned and maintained according to gym hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize gym floors, workout areas, mirrors, windows, and common areas.
Regularly clean and disinfect gym equipment, benches, mats, and frequently touched surfaces.
Maintain cleanliness of washrooms, showers, changing rooms, and lockers.
Keep the reception and entrance areas clean and presentable.
Empty dustbins and dispose of waste properly.
Refill handwash, tissues, sanitizers, and other hygiene supplies.
Monitor cleanliness throughout operating hours and attend to spills immediately.
Report damaged equipment, leakage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to management.




Maintain proper stock of cleaning materials and inform the supervisor when supplies are low.
Follow proper procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Support the gym team in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming atmosphere for members.
Perform deep-cleaning and additional housekeeping duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Ability to work efficiently in a busy gym setting.
Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties for extended periods.
Punctual, responsible, and reliable.
Polite and professional behavior with gym members and staff.
Previous gym, hotel, office, or housekeeping experience is an advantage.

Work Schedule

Versatile shifts may be required, including early morning, evening, weekends, and holidays depending on gym operating hours.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
