A Sales Representative is responsible for selling the company's agricultural products/services to farmers, dealers, or other agri-business customers and building long-term relationships with them.
Key responsibilities:
Visit farmers and agricultural areas regularly.
Understand farmers' crop, soil, and farming-related requirements.
Explain and sell products such as seeds, fertilizers, bio-inputs, pesticides, farm equipment, or digital agri-services.
Demonstrate how the company's product/service can help solve a farmer's problem.
Generate recent farmer/customer leads.
Maintain relationships with existing customers.
Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
Collect feedback from farmers and share it with the company.
Coordinate with the Agronomist/Field Agronomist for technical agricultural advice.
Track competitors, pricing, and market demand in the assigned territory.
Maintain records of farmer visits, leads, sales, and follow-ups.
