nThe Dean of the School of Mass Communication will provide academic leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight to the School. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished academic and qualified background, a commitment to interdisciplinary education, and the ability to build and nurture a culture of excellence and innovation.
nKey Responsibilities
n1. Academic Leadership:

Develop and execute a strategic vision for the School of Liberal Arts, aligning with the university's overall mission.n
Lead curriculum design and innovation across a diverse range of liberal arts disciplines.n
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration between the School of Liberal Arts and other schools within the university.n

n2. Faculty Development:

Recruit, mentor, and retain highly qualified faculty members.n
Promote a culture of research, teaching excellence, and professional development.n

n3. Student Success:

Ensure a robust student-centered learning workplace that encourages critical thinking, creativity,



and ethical leadership.n
Collaborate with student affairs to develop extracurricular activities that complement academic programs.n

n4. Administrative Oversight:

Manage the School's budget, resources, and facilities effectively.n
Oversee accreditation processes, academic policies, and quality assurance standards.n
Serve as a representative of the School at university-wide committees and external forums.n

n5. Community Engagement:

Build partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions to enhance the School's reputation and prospects for students and faculty.n
Advocate for liberal arts education in public forums to promote its value in a rapidly changing world.n

nQualifications
n
n
Academic Credentials: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.n
Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in higher ed
