Role Summary

The Structural Design Engineer is responsible for performing structural analysis, detailed design, and technical calculations for primary and secondary steel structures on FPSO and FLNG modules from feed through detailed engineering execution.

Key Responsibilities
Build, run, and evaluate 3D structural analysis models in SACS for operating, extreme, environmental, lifting, transport, and fatigue load conditions.
Design and verify primary steel (module main frames, trusses, deck beams, columns) and secondary steel (pipe racks, access platforms, equipment supports, monorails, walkways).
Perform connection designs (welded/bolted joints, gusset plates, stiffeners) using analytical methods and FEA tools.
Coordinate with 3D modeling teams (E3D/S3D) to translate structural analysis results into explicit execution drawings and material take-offs (MTO).




Prepare comprehensive calculation reports for class approval and client sign-off.

Key Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelors degree in Structural, Civil, or Marine/Ocean Engineering.
SACS Experience:5 to 10 years of direct experience utilizing Bentley SACS for offshore structural analysis.
Module Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience dedicated to offshore topside module design.
Domain Focus: Proven, hands-on track record in primary and secondary steel design specifically for FPSO or FLNG projects.
Standards Proficiency: Robust working knowledge of API RP 2A, AISC 360/ASD/LRFD, Eurocode, DNV-RP guidelines, and offshore lifting/transport regulations.
